West of Scotland Kart ClubWest of Scotland Kart Club (WSKC), located at premier outdoor karting venue Larkhall Circuit, has announced that it is offering free practice to all its members in 2023.
Anyone who takes out a membership for a one-off fee of £100 will be able to access their fully exclusive practice days, with no additional cost other than when entering race meetings.
During the global pandemic, the team at WSKC and Larkhall Circuit came to realise just how much children benefitted from being able to attend the track. Speaking to parents, they found that karting provides a significant boost to children’s physical and mental health, as it allows them to channel their energy into something they are passionate about.
David Moulsdale, owner of Larkhall Circuit, commented: “I was very moved emotionally during the global pandemic, when several parents explained how being able to attend the track helped their children with their mental health issues. This was news to me and I began to think through how we could address this further.”
To offer their support and also encourage more people to visit Larkhall Circuit, the team decided to provide access to club practice free of charge in 2023. Fully exclusive practice currently takes place on Wednesdays from 2pm-8pm and Sundays from 9am-4pm, with supplementary midweek testing available upon request for an additional fee.
If you are looking to become a member of WSKC and benefit from free practice in 2023, then please visit their 2023 membership page for more information and to sign up.
